Lorenzo Bartalesi

Lorenzo Bartalesi is Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, Centre de Recherches sur les Arts et du Langage (UMR8566 EHESS/CNRS).
In 2015-2016 he has been Junior Fellow at Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille University (IMéRA) and from 2012 to 2015 he has been postdoctoral researcher at Università di Firenze with a research project on expressivism and epigenesis of aesthetic attitude. He is Associate Editor of the international journal Aisthesis.
His research focuses on Charles Darwin’s aesthetic thought, the anthropological approaches to aesthetics, and the theories of cultural transmission. Among his publications Estetica evoluzionistica. Darwin e l’origine del senso estetico (Rome 2012) and Antropologia dell’estetico (Milan, in press).
